Therapist in Northampton, MA

Are you seeking a therapist in Northampton, MA?

At TICTI, our compassionate therapists apply their years of expertise to guide your healing and personal transformation.

Since 1997, TICTI therapists in Northampton have had proven success in helping many clients overcome their challenges and finally stop feeling “stuck” in their life—even if they’ve gone to therapy before.

Unlike many other treatment approaches, our research-supported, trauma-focused therapy enables you process the past experiences that caused your symptoms, so you can heal and live a happier, fuller life. Our approach helps reduce or eliminate symptoms such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, stress, anger management, and more. When you arrange for therapy with TICTI, you’ll be matched with a therapist suited for your particular challenges.

Rather than go through months or years of hour-per-week therapy, our goal is to help you get your life back within a few days to a couple of weeks, via intensive therapy. We are the country’s leading provider of intensive trauma-focused therapy, as well as the leading trainer of other trauma therapists (in how to do intensives). Our therapists undergo extensive advanced training – 22 days in their first year – and supervised practice in our research-supported intensive treatment model.

We have offices in several states, with several therapists in our Northampton office. We offer both in-person and video-conference options. If you have been searching for a therapist in Northampton, Massachusetts, reach out to us for a no-cost consultation today to see if our approach is a good fit for you.

Our research-supported treatment model is individualized and may include:

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) – EMDR involves concentrating on aspects of the upsetting memory while following the therapist’s moving finger with your eyes; this is repeated until the memory is no longer distressing. EMDR has been found to be the most efficient of the well-established trauma resolution methods.
  • PC (Progressive Counting) – PC, developed by our founder, Dr. Ricky Greenwald, involves watching a “movie” of the upsetting memory in your mind while the therapist counts aloud. In all three comparison studies, PC was found to be as effective, efficient, and well-tolerated as EMDR.
  • Flash – The Flash technique is a relatively new method that enables clients to resolve traumatic memories while focusing on positive imagery. Preliminary research has found Flash to be non-distressing, safe, rapid, and effective.
